Class1/3 Galvanized Steel Wire

Class1/3 Galvanized Steel Wire
Some baling wire undergoes a galvanization process that involves coating the wire in a layer of zinc. The zinc coating acts as a sacrificial outer layer, protecting the wire from rust, corrosion, and abrasion. Zinc-coated steel wires are exceptionally resilient to weather conditions, making them a primary choice for baling recyclable materials that will be stored outside, farm fencing, and vineyard trellising.

Product Description

Class1/3 Galvanized Steel Wire Description

We offers both Class 1 and Class 3 galvanization on all wire products. Class 3 galvanization offers significantly higher corrosion resistance than the standard Class 1 galvanization.

Class 1 galvanized wire features a thinner zinc coating of 0.28 ounces per square foot and provides basic protection, but it tends to rust after 2–12 years depending on the environment. In coastal areas, Class 1 coating fails even sooner due to saltwater corrosion. It is often used for barbed wire fencing.
Class 3 galvanized wire offers a premium zinc coating (nearly three times as thick as Class 1) that uses 0.80 ounces of zinc per square foot. This wire coating offers a higher degree of protection, providing a lifespan of 13–30 years. Class 3 galvanized wire is more expensive up front, but it is much more long-lasting. Class 3 galvanization is our most rust resistant wire coating, the ideal choice for harsh environments.

Class1/3 Galvanized Steel Wire is a durable carbon steel wire coated with a protective zinc layer, designed for corrosion resistance and long service life. Produced through precise wire drawing and controlled galvanizing processes, it ensures stable tensile strength and smooth surface quality. The product is suitable for fencing, construction binding, agricultural support, and industrial applications. With reliable performance in both indoor and outdoor environments, Class1/3 galvanized steel wire provides a cost-effective solution for long-term structural and fastening needs.

Scope of Application

Galvanized steel wire is prevalent across industries and applications. The zinc coating makes galvanized wire useful in many instances where wet conditions or fire hazards make other types of wire unusable. Here are a few of the top applications of galvanized wire.
● Fencing: Galvanized wire's rust and damage resistance is excellent for all kinds of fencing. Galvanized wire is also durable, holding up under high pressure. You can find galvanized wire fencing everywhere, from agriculture fencing to the Hexanet fencing used in insulating buildings.
● Binding: Businesses frequently use galvanized wire to bind or bale construction and recycling materials into one unit. In construction applications, this wire makes it easier for construction teams to work with the materials on the job site. Many companies use galvanized wire to bind other scrap and raw materials.
● Nails and staples: Construction teams need durable materials at every stage of the building process. The strength of these wires makes them ideal for providing buildings and homes with structural support. Galvanized steel wire creates sturdy nails, springs, staples and other structural elements that can withstand heavy strain.
● Consumer goods: Manufacturers have found many uses for galvanized wire in consumer goods applications. From bucket handles to hanging support for artwork and mirrors, galvanized wire offers strength.

FAQ

Q1: What metal materials do you supply?

Jiangsu Zhongersheng is a professional manufacturer mainly supplying carbon steel, hot-dip galvanized steel, PPGI color coated steel, 201/304/316 stainless steel sheets, coils, tubes and profiles, as well as various steel structural parts. Our products serve infrastructure, photovoltaic, machinery manufacturing, chemical and new energy industries.

Q2: Can you customize material grades, thickness and sizes?

Full customization is available. For carbon steel, galvanized steel and stainless steel, thickness, width and length can be adjusted in accordance with ASTM & EN standards. Profiles can be cut and processed as per drawings, and special steel materials can be customized via production line scheduling.

Q3: What’s the difference between galvanized steel and color coated PPGI?

Hot-dip galvanized steel features pure zinc anti-rust coating with cost-effective and wear-resistant performance, suitable for steel brackets, guardrails and load-bearing structures, and supports secondary painting. PPGI takes galvanized sheet as base material with colorful coating for anti-rust & decorative purposes, widely used for factory roof/wall panels and energy storage housings. Thick galvanized steel is recommended for rainy coastal areas, while PPGI is ideal for decorative outdoor projects.

Q4: Do you have spot inventory? What’s your MOQ?

We built a 10,000-ton standardized warehouse with abundant spot stock of carbon steel, galvanized steel and stainless steel. MOQ is 1 ton for standard sizes; small samples of dozens of kilograms are acceptable. No upper limit for bulk engineering orders, mixed container loading of multiple steel types is supported.

Q5: How long is the delivery time for spot goods & customized goods?

Spot goods can be loaded within 3-7 days; simple cutting & bending processing orders take 7-10 days; mould opening & special steel customization takes 15-30 days, subject to specific specifications confirmation.
